7 DAYS - GREAT RIFT VALLEY EXPERIENCE.

During this safari you will tour the Great Rift Valley Lakes, volcanic lakes and national parks where you will see a great variety of wildlife.

DAY 1: ARRIVAL.
You will be met by our representative at the Jomo Kenyatta International Airport. After which you will receive a briefing on your safari.
Dinner and overnight at the Hilton Hotel Nairobi.

DAY 2 - LAKE BARINGO, BOGORIA AND LAKE NAKURU NATIONAL PARK.
Lake Baringo
You will have an early breakfast, followed by a drive across the Great Rift Valley to Lake Baringo, one of the many Rift Valley lakes. A boat trip across the lake will give you the opportunity to see birdlife, crocodiles and hippos. Visitors can also enjoy fishing and water sports. There is a snake park in the area where you can have a closer look at the reptiles.

Lake Bogoria.
You will then be driven to Lake Bogoria, where you will get an opportunity to marvel at the hot springs, and also see plenty of birds and game including the greater Kudu. You will have lunch by the lake.
Lake Nakuru National ParkLake Nakuru and National Park.

You will then be driven on to Lake Nakuru National Park; the second most visited park in Kenya and home to millions of fuchsia pink flamingos and fish eating pelicans as well as over 450 other species of birds. The park is a good location for game viewing of the black rhino, the lion, the waterbuck and antelopes. It is one of the best places to see the leopard as well as the endangered Rothschild giraffe. You will require at least three hours to view this rich wildlife in this Park.
Dinner and overnight at Lake Nakuru Lodge.

DAY 3 - MENEGAI CRATER AND MOUNT LONGONOT.
Menegai Crater.
After your breakfast at the Lake Nakuru Lodge you will be picked and driven to Menengai crater. The Menengai crater is a breathtaking marvel and a scenic beauty to behold. The locals have nick named it, the place of devils, due to the legendary tales about its origin.
The volcano is dormant but there are still hot spots on the floor and streams of vapour can be seen coming from the crater. The rotary club has erected a sign post at the highest point showing directions and the respective distances to several places in the world.

The Menegai CraterAt the crater you will enjoy the beautiful contrasts of nature including rocks that have stood the test of time, natural springs with mirror clear water and lava that reminds us that this is the Rift Valley.
Lunch will be at the same location. After lunch you will be driven to Mount Longonot, a young dormant volcano rising 2,776ft. The mountain is home to various species of wildlife notably, zebra, giraffe, buffalo and hartebeest. It offers visitors the opportunity to view the Longonot volcano and crater, the Naivasha basin and a splendid view of the Rift Valley. Visitors can also climb to the top of the mountain.
Dinner and overnight at the Lake Naivasha country club.

DAY 4 - LAKE NAIVASHA AND HELL'S GATE NATIONAL PARK.
Breakfast will be served at the Lake Naivasha country club followed by a morning boat ride on the lake which gives the opportunity to see birdlife and crocodiles. After this you will visit the Crescent Island Game sanctuary. Lunch will be at the Naivasha Country Club.
You will then visit the Hell's gate National Park. The park is named after a narrow break in the cliffs, once a tributary of a prehistoric lake that fed early humans in the Rift Valley. Hiking, biking and motorcycling are encouraged within the park, only one of two national parks where this is allowed. At the National Park you will have an opportunity to see geysers, gorges, wildlife and birdlife.
You will embark on a late afternoon game drive and animals to be seen include lions, leopards and cheetahs, African buffalo, zebras, eland, hartebeest, Thompson gazelles and king Springer antelope. There are over 103 species of birds including vultures, verreaux's eagles, Augur buzzards and swift.
Dinner and overnight at the Naivasha Country Club.

DAY 5 - NAIVASHA TO MAASAI MARA (4 -5 hrs drive).
You will have an early breakfast and drive to the world renowned Maasai Mara, arriving in time for lunch at the Mara Serena Lodge. After lunch you will relax and enjoy the lodge's facilities for the rest of the afternoon.
The Maasai Mara was named the 8th wonder of the world because of the annual migration of zebra, Thompson's gazelle and the wildebeest from the Serengeti to the Maasai Mara, every year from July to October, a migration so immense it's called the Great Migration. The National Reserve was also the shooting location for the OUT OF AFRICA film and remains the location for the British Broadcasting Corporation's Big Cat Diary wildlife series. The Mara is also a resting place for the "Big 5".

Masai Mara National Park DAY 6 - MAASAI MARA EXPERIENCE.
You will be picked from your hotel at 5am and driven to the Launch site near Maasai Kopjes for a balloon safari. Balloon safaris are an evocative way of experiencing the wilderness of East Africa, as you gracefully and silently fly over the plains teeming with herds of wildlife in the early morning.
On reaching the launch site you will be briefed about your balloon ride by your pilot. You will then take off and fly over the game filled plains and reverie forest of the Maasai Mara Game Reserve, watching all the animals, including lion, elephant and all the plains game.

The flight is followed by a champagne breakfast "in the bush", giving you a unique African experience befitting a hero's return to earth - celebrating your memorable flight in the wild. After breakfast, you will be driven back to your hotel to relax.
Lunch will be served at the Mara Serena Lodge.
After lunch you will be taken for an exhilarating afternoon game drive in the park. Here you will see animals like the Lion, Elephant, and Rhinos, Buffalo and leopard, antelopes, cheetahs, gazelles. You will also be able to explore other attractions within the Mara. Dinner and overnight at the Mara Serena Lodge.

DAY 7: DEPARTURE TO NAIROBI (5 hrs drive).
After a relaxing breakfast you will depart for Nairobi, lunch en route.
You will arrive in the late afternoon check in and relax at the Sarova Stanley Hotel.
You can choose to have your dinner at the hotel or try and exciting night out at the Carnivore restaurant, and club goers can checkout Nairobi night life.
Overnight at the Sarova Stanley hotel.
