6 DAYS CENTRAL KENYA EXPERIENCE.

DAY 1 - ARRIVAL IN NAIROBI.
You will be met on arrival by our representative at the Jomo Kenyatta International Airport. You will be briefed on your safari itinerary and checked into the Sarova Stanley Hotel in Nairobi.

Chania falls - Kenya DAY 2 - CHANIA FALLS, THE EQUATOR, MT. KENYA RESERVE.
You will have an early breakfast, followed by a morning safari to the Mount Kenya Reserve. You will have a brief stop-over at the Blue Post hotel, where you will have a relaxing cup of coffee, overlooking the famous Chania Falls. If you are adventurous, you can go down the steps leading to the actual base of the waterfall.

You will then be driven to Nanyuki town - to the exact spot through which the Equator passes. The equator splits Kenya into two almost equal parts. At the equator you will receive a demonstration showing how water drains from a bath in clock-wise or anti-clockwise direction North or South of the equator. This is a very exciting discovery for first time visitors!

You will continue to the Mount Kenya reserve arriving in time for lunch at the Mt. Kenya Safari Club. It is at this location that Kenya shows off her snow peaked crown at dawn. The Rest of the day is spent leisurely enjoying the clubs' facilities which includes - Golf, Tennis, Horseback trekking, William Holden Animal orphanage, heated swimming pool, Trout fishing, Jogging circuits and Bird watching. Dinner and overnight at the Mount Kenya club.

DAY 3 - EXPLORING THE ABERDARES NATIONAL PARK.
Early breakfast followed by a drive to the Aberdares. The forests of the Aberdares ranges are renowned for their botanical riches and torrential waterfalls. On arrival, you will be taken to the Gura Waterfalls, the most prestigious waterfall in Kenya followed by a visit to the Queen's cave pavilion, the site for the 1959 royal picnic lunch for Queen Elizabeth II and her husband Prince Philip.
Lunch will be at the famous tree-tops hotel, the hotel where Princess Elizabeth became queen of England in 1952. After lunch, Visitors can indulge in walking and trout fishing in the rivers.

In the evening you will have an evening game drive. Animals easily observed here includes the lion, leopard, baboon, black rhino, black and white colobus monkey and sykes monkey, warthog, bush pig dikdik, reedback and elephants - it is estimated that 2000 elephants roam the clouded hills.
Bird viewing is also very rewarding in this park with over 250 species of birds in the park, including the endangered Aberdare Cristicola, sparry hawk, eagles, sunbirds and plovers.

Dinner and overnight will be at the famous Tree Tops hotel which provides excellent night time wild life viewing from the hotel balcony, where visitors will observe various animals including lions, elephants, buffalos and rhino which come to drink water at the waterhole built at the hotel.

Thompson falls - Kenya DAY 4 - THE THOMPSON FALLS AND SWEETWATERS GAME RESERVE.
You will have an early Breakfast followed by a drive to Thompson Falls at the foot of the Aberdare Range. The falls are named after Joseph Thomson the first European to see it. The falls drop a sheer 243 feet over a ledge of volcanic rock. Visitors can view the falls from above, or there's a trail down to the bottom of the ravine. Upstream from the falls is one of the highest hippo pools in Kenya. A nature trail at the base of the falls, and through the gorge is a safe haven for the endangered Colobus monkeys and baboons.

You will have your lunch overlooking the falls and then proceed to the Sweetwaters Game Reserve.
At the Sweetwaters Game Reserve, you will enjoy a late afternoon game drive in the sanctuary or a walking safari escorted by a knowledgeable ranger. The Sweetwaters Game Reserve is presently the largest black rhino sanctuary in East Africa and boasts of all the "big 5" - Lion, leopard, rhino, elephant and buffalo.

The reserve also has a chimpanzee sanctuary which introduces, rehabilitates and teaches orphaned and abused chimps to fend for themselves in an area similar to their natural living conditions. The combination of amazing wildlife and stunning views guarantees an unforgettable experience. Dinner and overnight at Sweetwater's tented camp.

The Sweetwater's Tented Camp overlooks a well lit waterhole offering visitors an unforgettable opportunity to view and shoot photographs of animals in their natural habitat during the night.

Elephant at Samburu National Park DAY 5 - LEWA WILDLIFE CONSERVANCY AND SAMBURU NATIONAL PARK.
After breakfast you will be driven to Lewa Wildlife Conservancy. The conservancy has a variety of wildlife, including a large black and white rhino population, elephant, lion, leopard, cheetah, reticulated giraffe, Grevy's zebra, buffalo, hartebeest, bushbuck, gerenuk, Gunther's dikdik and Somali ostrich.

You will spend the morning indulging in activities such as Horseback riding, camel riding and hiking. And then have a picnic lunch after which you will be driven to the Samburu National park arriving in time for an evening game drive. Wildlife here includes the rare liver red reticulated giraffe, Grevy's zebra, elephants, buffalo, cheetah, leopard, lion Beisa Oryx, Longneck gerenuk antelopes, and Somali ostrich. Bird life is also notable.

Samburu National Reserve was one of the two areas in which conservationists George Adamson and Joy Adamson raised Elsa the Lioness made famous in the bestselling book and award winning movie "Born Free". The Samburu Reserve is also the home of Kamunyak, a lioness famous for adopting Oryx calves. The reserve was also the shooting location for the reality television series, "Out of Africa". Dinner and overnight at the Samburu Lodge.

DAY 6 - THE FOURTEEN FALLS AND NAIROBI.
You will have an early breakfast followed by a drive to fourteen falls. The falls derive its name from their fourteen successive falls of water along the famous Athi River.
There is a lot to see and do while in this scenic site including boating, fishing, photography, and bird watching.
Near the falls lies Kilimambogo, a Swahili word for the Mountain of the Buffalo and home to the late Great philanthropist Sir Macmillan. Half way up the hill, you will find the graves of Sir Macmillan, his wife and their house help. It is on the foot of this hill that Macmillan entertained Theodore Roosevelt, former president of the United States, and Sir Winston Churchill, former Prime Minister of the United Kingdom.
Lunch will be at the falls after which you will be driven to Nairobi, arriving in the evening.
Dinner and overnight at the Sarova Stanley Hotel.
