7 DAYS: BIRDING SAFARI IN UGANDA.

Day 1: Arrival in Uganda.
You will be met by our representative on arrival at Entebbe International Airport. You will be driven to Kampala and checked into The Kampala Serena Hotel. You will then be briefed on your safari itinerary after that you can relax and enjoy the hotel facilities.

Day 2: Lake Mburo National Park.
You will be picked from your hotel after breakfast and driven to Lake Mburo National Park. You will have a brief stop at the Equator, where you can stretch your legs and take some photographs. You will then continue on your journey arriving at Lake Mburo National Park in the late afternoon. Lunch will be served at the Mantana Luxury Tented Camp. There after you will relax and enjoy the facilities.

Nubian Wood Pecker - Uganda birds Day 3: Bird Watching.
After breakfast you will enjoy a relaxing two hour boat ride on the lake, during which you will see hippos, crocodiles and a large variety of bird species such as pelicans, black crake, heron, cormorant and fish eagle, Emerald-spotted Wood, Crested Francolin, Bare-faced Go-away-bird, Lilac-breasted Roller, Spot-flanked Barbet, Nubian Woodpecker, Brown parrot, Trilling Cisticola, Northern Black Tit, Marico Sunbird, Chin-spot Batis, Blue-eared Starling, Coqui Francolin, Black-bellied Bustard, Temminck's Courser, African Wattled Plover, Rufous-chested swallow, Rufous-naped and Flappet Larks, Yellow-throated Longclaw, and Southern Red Bishop. After the boat ride, you can indulge in sport fishing on the lake, which has about 6 species of fish, the common one being tilapia. You will return to your hotel for lunch, and relax.

In the late afternoon you will be taken on a game drive at the park where you can expect to see a variety of wildlife such as zebras, monkey, Impala, waterbucks, elands, buffaloes, Hippos, Impalas, Topi, Bohor reedbuck, sitatunga antelope, klipspringer, vervet monkey, olive baboon, side-striped Jackal, spotted-hyena, leopard, white-tailed mongoose.
Dinner and overnight at Mantana Luxury Tented Camp.

Day 4: Bwindi Impenetrable National Park (5 hours).
You will have an early breakfast, after which you will begin the 5 hour drive to Bwindi Impenetrable Forest arriving in the late afternoon Dinner and overnight at The Gorilla Resort camp.

Handsome Francolin - uganda birds Day 5: Bird Watching in Bwindi forest.
After breakfast you will begin bird watching. Bwindi Impenetrable National Park offers some of the finest montane forest birding in Africa and is a key destination to any birder visiting Uganda. At least 23 of Uganda's 24 Albertine Rift Endemics are resident in Bwindi. Among these they include, spectacular globally threatened species such as African Green Broadbill and Shelley's Crimsonwing.
You will be taken to the ranger station at Ruhizha at an altitude of 2300 m, with breath-taking views over steep, forested valleys towards the distant Virunga Volcanoes. This is a good place for excellent birding; birds are both plentiful and easy to see. You cannot miss birds such as the Handsome Francolin, Cinnamon-chested Bee-eaters, Western Green Tinker bird, Mountain and Yellow-streaked Greenbuls, Red-faced Woodland warbler, African Hill Babbler, Collard Apalis and Mountain illadopsis, among others.
You will return to Resort for lunch, relax and check out then drive to Queen Elizabeth. Dinner and Overnight at Mweya Safari Lodge.

Day 5: Queen Elizabeth National Park.
Queen Elizabeth National Park is located on the foot hills of the mystical Rwenzori Mountains. You will have an early morning game drive through the park where you can expect to see Lions, giant forest hogs, Leopards, hyenas, Uganda kobs, warthogs and others.
After the game drive, you will return to the lodge for a late breakfast, after which you can relax at the lodge and enjoy the lodge's facilities until lunch time.
In the afternoon you will go on a boat trip along the Kazinga Channel, where you will see Hippos, Crocodiles, Buffalo, Kobs, and Elephants. You will also enjoy bird watching on the water banks. This park has over 606 species of birds and they can expect to see the famous Shoebill, pelican and Jacana.
Dinner and overnight Mweya Safari Lodge.

Pied Kingfisher - Uganda birds Day 6: Lake Bunyonyi and departure to Kampala.
You will check out after breakfast and drive to Lake Bunyonyi, the third deepest lake in the world, arriving in the late morning.
You will enjoy a morning boat ride around the lake where you can expect to see birds such as pied kingfishers and swallows.
You can also enjoy a relaxing swimming experience on the lake and sun bath. Dinner and Overnight at Lake Bunyonyi Overland Resort.

Day 7: Departure.
After breakfast you will check out and drive back to Kampala, arriving in the late afternoon. You will check in at the Golf Course Hotel, and enjoy the hotel facilities. In the night you can get out and experience Kampala night and then retire back at your hotel.
