KENYA SPECIAL - 6 DAY SAFARI:
DAY 1: BOGORIA
Depart Nairobi at 9:30 a.m., stopping en route to view the spectacular Great Rift Valley. Lunch at Nakuru and camp at Lake Bogoria late afternoon, near the (very) hot springs. Don't fall in! You can explore on foot and keep an eye out for the flamingoes who make their home here.
DAY 2: LAKE NAKURU Kenya safari
A 30km drive north to Lake Baringo, a world famous bird sanctuary. Take a boat trip to see the hippos and crocodiles. Then back to Lake Nakuru National Park for overnight.
DAY 3: MAASAI MARA
We head south to Narok for overnight.
DAY 4 & 5: MAASAI MARA
We explore the Mara region, packed with elephant, zebra, rhino, lion and all kinds of game throughout the year, with the spectacular wildebeast migration from Serengeti mainly in July and August. Maasai cultural dancers will be on hand to entertain you on your last night.
DAY 6: NAIROBI
Drive to Narok, where Maasai souveniers can be bought, then back to Nairobi by 5 p.m.
KENYA SELECTED - 7 DAYS SAFARI:
Day 1: Depart to Nyeri in time for lunch at the Outspan Hotel. Later transfer to the Aberdares National Park for an evening of game viewing from Treetops Hotel balconies. Have dinner and overnight at the Treetops Hotel.
Day 2: After breakfast at the Outspan Hotel drive via Nyahururu Falls to Lake Naivasha and make a walking game trek inside the Hell's gate National Park.
The lake is also a bird watchers fantasy. From October to March the resident bird palaearctic migrants supplement population.
Dinner and overnight at Lake Naivasha resort lodge.
Day 3:
After breakfast drive to Maasai Mara Game Reserve to arrive in time for lunch. Spend the afternoon game viewing in the park.
Overnight Sarova Mara Camp/ Ngama hills tented camp.
Day 4:
Morning and afternoon game drives from the comfortable base of the lodge, explore the parks amazingly high concentration of game. This game reserve is Kenya's finest wildlife sanctuary. Including migrants, well over 450 species of animals have been recorded here.
Although July, August and September are the months when the Mara plains are filled with migrating wildebeest and zebra, there is also resident wildlife year round. The famous Maasai tribesmen live within the dispersal area of the game reserve.
Dinner and overnight at the Sianna Springs/ Ngama hills tented camp.
Day 5:
Take a morning game drive, breakfast and return drive to Nairobi arriving around noon. After lunch at the Nairobi Safari Club, drive via Namanga to Amboseli National Park. Evening game drive. Your dinner and overnight will be at Amboseli Serena Lodge/ Oltukai lodge.
Day 6:
Drive via the Shaitani lava flow to Tsavo West National Park. Spend your afternoon game viewing.
Overnight Kilaguni Lodge/ Ngulia luxury camp.
Day 7:
Morning drive south to Mombasa arriving around 1230 hours and drop off at a Mombasa Hotel.
