3 DAYS GORILLA TREKKING SAFARI
Bwindi Impenetrable Forest is best known for being the home of the few remaining Mountain Gorillas in the world and for its rain forest that attracts spectacular species of birds such as 23 of the 24 Albertine Rift endemics including the African Green Broadbill, and other beautiful forest species.
Itinerary:
Day 01: Kampala - Bwindi.
After breakfast, our guide will drive you to South Western Uganda. On the way you may make a brief stop-over at the Equator for photos and souvenirs, and then proceed to Mbarara for lunch. Precede through the beautiful scenery of the terraced green hills of the "Switzerland" of Uganda, Kabale, to Bwindi National Park, the impenetrable rain forest, arriving well before sunset. Time allowing on the same evening, you can enjoy a night walk. Spend the night at accommodation of your choice(Luxury or Budget). F/B.
Day 02: Bwindi - Gorilla tour.
After breakfast you will report to the park headquarters for briefing and thereafter depart for Gorilla tracking. Take with you previously arranged packed lunch boxes, drinking water and jungle boots. Tracking some of only 650 Gorillas left in the world is perhaps one of the most exciting wildlife experiences. The tracking may take between 4 to 8 hours depending on the movement of the Gorilla families, with a Park Guide who will interpret the flora and fauna and the lifestyle of the Gorillas. The Full day is dedicated to gorilla trekking as we never know where you will find the gorillas exactly. Spend the night at accommodation of your choice(Luxury or Budget). F/B.
Day 03: From Bwindi to Kampala.
After breakfast, you check out of your lodge and drive to Kampala stopping en route for lunch and also at some interesting spots like one at the Uganda Equator then continue to Kampala arriving early evening. You will be dropped off to your hotel and end tour here.
Important :-
Please note that gorilla tracking in Uganda and Rwanda is dependent on the availability of tracking permits at the time of your booking. Gorilla permits in all parks are on very high demand and we advise that you book them as early as possible.
However, should permits not be readily available for Bwindi, it is possible to track on the other side of the rain forest, at Rushaaga, only 7 kms from Kisoro town in Nkuringo, or in Rwanda across the border.
